Acer drops launch price by $500, making the Predator Z57 more accessible to gamers.
Acer has recently unveiled a significant update regarding its highly anticipated gaming monitor, the Predator Z57. While the company has yet to confirm a full release date, it has made headlines by slashing the launch price by $500, bringing it below the $2,000 mark. This move is poised to make the Predator Z57 more accessible to a wider audience of gamers.
The Predator Z57 first made its debut alongside a lineup of impressive gaming monitors at the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas. Among its peers were the Predator X34 X, Predator X34 V3, and Predator X39. Boasting a massive 57-inch display, the Predator Z57 stands out as the largest in the lineup.
Acer has chosen to equip this behemoth with an IPS panel featuring an impressive 2,304 Mini LED backlight zones, distinguishing it from its counterparts like the Predator X49 X, which utilizes QD-OLED technology.
Despite potentially slower response times compared to the Predator X49 X, the Predator Z57 maintains its position as a high-performance gaming monitor, boasting VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and providing an impressive 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Its 32:9 aspect ratio and 7,680 x 2,160 (DUHD) native resolution, coupled with a 120 Hz refresh rate, promise an immersive gaming experience like no other.
Initially slated for release in the second quarter of 2024, Acer had announced price points of €2,399 in the Eurozone and $2,499 in the US. However, the company has now made a significant adjustment to its pricing strategy, offering the Predator Z57 at a more enticing $1,999.99, a move likely to excite gamers eagerly awaiting its release.
The appearance of the Predator Z57 on multiple regional websites, along with confirmed pricing in the US, suggests that the monitor will soon be available for order worldwide.
