Players to Experience Sci-Fi Franchise Crossover in Latest Content Drop
Activision has announced a thrilling crossover between the iconic first-person shooter franchise Call of Duty and the beloved sci-fi universe of Warhammer 40,000. Set to debut as part of the mid-Season 2 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, this collaboration promises to inject a new dimension of excitement into the gaming experience for millions of players worldwide.
Detailed in a recent blog post, Activision provided an overview of the upcoming content updates featured in the Season 2 Reloaded roadmap. The highlight of this update is the introduction of the mode "Juggermosh", where gamers will immerse themselves in the epic battles of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Within this mode, players will have the opportunity to embody the formidable Ultramarines in their "Ultramar's Vengeance" Power Armor or the ferocious Blood Angels Space Marine in "Baal's Wrath" Power Armor.
Central to the Juggermosh mode is the intense struggle for possession of the OHK (one-hit kill) melee weapon – the fearsome Chainsword. Positioned at the heart of the map, players must utilize their combat prowess to secure this deadly weapon while navigating the chaotic battlefield. Additionally, players can scavenge fallen enemies' armor to replenish their defenses and strategically aim for headshots to inflict devastating damage upon their adversaries.
Season 2 Reloaded doesn't stop there; it introduces a remastered 6v6 version of the multiplayer map "Das Haus" and unveils a new gameplay mode known as "Bounty". In this mode, based on Team Deathmatch principles, one player from each team will be designated as the highest slayer, identifiable by a distinct flag they must wear.
The remaining players will earn bonus points for eliminating this marked target, adding a layer of intensity to the competitive multiplayer experience.
Furthermore, players can anticipate the addition of fresh content to the Zombie mode, including new weapons and the introduction of a remarkable Wonder Vehicle – a motorcycle fueled by the blood of the undead. As players embark on adrenaline-fueled journeys through the treacherous landscapes of the Zombie apocalypse, they will now have access to this unique vehicle, offering both mobility and firepower in their fight against the horde.
Not forgetting the thriving community of Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision has pledged to deliver exciting new updates in the near future. Among the forthcoming additions is the Research Vessel Mobile POI, a new location set to circulate the island shoreline of the game's expansive map. This addition promises to inject fresh dynamics into the ever-evolving landscape of Warzone, providing players with new opportunities for strategic engagements and thrilling encounters.
As the anticipation builds for the Season 2 Reloaded update, Activision has also confirmed the imminent launch of Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. Scheduled for a global release on March 21, this mobile iteration of the iconic franchise will bring the adrenaline-pumping action of Warzone to iOS and Android devices, ensuring that players can enjoy the excitement of Call of Duty anytime, anywhere.
