The Amazfit Cheetah Pro, Cheetah Round, and Cheetah Square smartwatches have recently received significant firmware updates, introducing a slew of new features and improvements. Additionally, Amazfit released new firmware for its Falcon and T-Rex Ultra wearables, with several common enhancements across these models.

Major Highlights of the New Firmware

A standout feature in this update is that Cheetah smartwatch users with Android devices can now view image messages from WhatsApp. This enhancement addresses a commonly requested feature and will likely be welcomed by users who rely on their smartwatches for instant messaging.

Aside from this, the updates across the Cheetah series offer numerous improvements. The Zepp Coach feature has been improved with new guidance modes for steady-state running and walking. This improvement provides a more refined coaching experience, aiding users in achieving their fitness goals. The firmware also includes training scores for each workout, allowing users to monitor their performance over time.

Integration with third-party devices has seen significant enhancements. The smartwatches can now share real-time power output data with running power meters connected via Bluetooth, offering athletes and fitness enthusiasts greater insights into their workouts. The latest firmware also allows for more data sharing with thermometers like the CORE Body Temperature Sensor, extending the smartwatches' functionality for those who require precise temperature monitoring.

In fishing mode, a unique feature in Amazfit wearables, users can now record the number of casts and fish caught. Additionally, loop timers have been added, which can be useful for a variety of activities, including interval training. The update also introduces an enhanced VO2 Max algorithm that works in Trail Run mode, providing more accurate metrics for trail runners.
