Enhancements in Navigation, Fitness Tracking, and Connectivity Elevate User Experience
Amazfit recently announced a significant software update for several of its popular smartwatch models. The update, unveiled via the company's Facebook community, brings a host of improvements to enhance user experience across the T-Rex Ultra, Falcon, Cheetah Pro, Cheetah Square, and Cheetah Round smartwatches.
This update, distinct from the upcoming ZeppOS 3.5, scheduled for release between May 28th and June 11th, delivers a range of new features and optimizations designed to bolster functionality and performance.
Among the notable enhancements included in this update is the integration of road names into offline maps, providing users with improved navigation capabilities even when disconnected from their smartphone's network. Additionally, users can now fine-tune the sensitivity of automatic activity detection for Skiing, Snowboarding, and Alpine Skiing, ensuring more accurate tracking of these activities.
The Zepp Coach Running Plan receives an overhaul as well, with updates to the onboarding questionnaire, refining the personalized coaching experience for users.
Moreover, a new feature enables users to seamlessly transmit heart rate measurements collected by their Amazfit smartwatches to third-party devices such as cycling computers, expanding the interoperability of Amazfit wearables with other fitness equipment.
Furthermore, the introduction of GPS Time Calibration ensures precise data accuracy, even in remote locations where GPS signals may be weaker or intermittent.
While Amazfit has initiated the rollout of this update to many smartwatches, the process is expected to span several days due to phased delivery by device and region. To ensure they receive the latest software enhancements, users of Cheetah, Falcon, and T-Rex Ultra smartwatches are advised to periodically check the Zepp Health app for availability.
