Apple has now made available the USB-C charging case for AirPods 2 as a separate purchase for $99. This allows existing AirPods Pro 2 owners to seamlessly transition from the Lightning case to the USB-C variant without the need to invest in an entirely new set of earbuds.The MagSafe Charging Case (USB‑C) for AirPods Pro (2nd generation) comes equipped with the U1 chip featuring Precision Finding, a technology designed to swiftly locate the case. Users can also trigger a sound from the built-in speaker if the case is nearby but elusive.

Adding to its practicality, a lanyard loop allows users to secure their case to a backpack or handbag, ensuring it remains easily accessible. Moreover, the MagSafe Charging Case boasts an IP54 rating, making it resistant to dust, sweat, and water.

The standalone USB-C case for AirPods Pro 2 is now open for orders on Apple's official website, providing a cost-effective solution for users eager to upgrade their charging case without the need for a full device replacement.
