In a celebration of innovation, creativity, and purpose-driven missions, Apple revealed the winners of the 2023 App Store Awards. Recognizing 14 outstanding apps and games, the awards highlight the limitless potential of developers to redefine our digital experiences.

This year's winners, carefully selected by the App Store’s Editorial team from nearly 40 finalists, represent a global community of developers. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, expressed his admiration, stating

Cultural Impact Winners:

Recognizing apps and games that drive positive change, five Cultural Impact winners were chosen:

  • Proloquo from AssistiveWare: An accessibility app pioneer creating augmentative and alternative communication tools.
  • Too Good To Go from Too Good To Go: Minimizing food waste by connecting users with surplus food at an affordable cost.
  • Unpacking from Humble Bundle: A soul-soothing triumph around familiar experiences of change and connection.
  • Finding Hannah from Fein Games GmbH: A colorful coming-of-age, hidden-object game exploring healing and self-discovery.

Trend of the Year: Generative AI

Reflecting the cultural zeitgeist, generative AI emerged as the Trend of the Year in 2023. Apps integrating AI showcased its evolution, providing users with a firsthand look at the technology's benefits and risks.
