The Behringer Deepmind 6 is a true gem for any synthesizer enthusiast. I recently acquired this analog synthesizer from Thomann's online shop during a fantastic deal, and it's been a delightful addition to my extensive instrument collection. What truly sets the Deepmind 6 apart is its uncanny ability to capture the essence of classic analog synthesizers from the past.

First, let's talk about its sound. The Deepmind 6 offers an extraordinary auditory experience. The rich, warm tones it produces are nothing short of amazing. However, this synth does have a bit of a learning curve, even for experienced sound designers like myself. Taming its full potential can be a rewarding challenge.

In terms of technical specifications, this synth is a powerhouse:

- It boasts a 6-voice analog synthesizer architecture.

- The 37 semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch provide expressive control.

- The inclusion of 4 FX engines powered by tc electronic & Klark Teknik adds a level of sonic versatility that's hard to beat.

- With 12 oscillators (2 per voice) and LFOs per voice, you have ample room for sound manipulation.

- The 3 ADSR generators allow precise shaping of your sound.

- The 8-channel modulation matrix provides deep modulation possibilities.

- The 32-step control sequencer is a fantastic tool for creating intricate patterns and melodies.

- The Deepmind 6 also supports remote control via iPad, PC, or Mac, offering modern flexibility.

- Its 1024 program memories make it a versatile and reliable instrument.

- The LCD display simplifies navigation and parameter adjustment.

Overall, the Behringer Deepmind 6 is a superb analog synthesizer that manages to capture the magic of the past while offering modern features and sound quality. It's a versatile and expressive instrument that's sure to inspire both beginners and seasoned musicians and sound designers. The more than accessible price (around €600) makes it a must-have for every synth enthusiast (by the way I'm pretty sure this will become a modern classic).

If you're willing to explore its depth, you'll be rewarded with a world of creative possibilities and lots of fun.
