Behringer has announced a significant price drop for its much-anticipated UB-Xa synthesizer. Originally slated to cost $1,499, the company has now confirmed a revised price of $1,199. The intriguing twist lies in Behringer's motivation behind this decision.

Taking to Facebook to share the news, Behringer revealed that the entire team has unanimously chosen to donate their earnings and more to the charity 'Playing for Change'. The charitable initiative aims to empower less fortunate individuals through music. Behringer encourages UB-Xa buyers to consider donating the saved amount or any sum to the foundation, promising to match donations up to an additional $1,000.

The UB-Xa, an emulation of the classic Oberheim OB-Xa, boasts features that surpass the original design.
