DJI, renowned for its advanced drone technology, has officially entered the e-bike market with the introduction of the DJI Avinox motor. This powerful motor is set to become a key component in high-performance eMTB applications, with its debut in the Amflow PL, a lightweight, dual-suspension eMTB poised to compete with top models like the Specialized Levo series.

UNVEILING THE DJI AVINOX MOTOR. The DJI Avinox motor is a marvel of engineering, boasting specifications that position it well ahead of many established e-bike motors. 

Weighing a mere 2.52 kg, it can deliver up to 1,000 W of peak power for short bursts of up to 30 seconds using its Boost mode, surpassing the regular 850 W cap. This motor also produces an impressive 105 Nm of torque, significantly higher than the 85–90 Nm range typical of most high-end eMTBs.

COMPREHENSIVE MOTOR SYSTEM. The Avinox system includes not just the motor but also a battery and an OLED display. Buyers can choose between a lighter 600 Wh battery or a larger 800 Wh unit, depending on their range and weight preferences. The 800 Wh battery promises a range of up to 157 km, while the 600 Wh battery offers approximately 117 km on a full charge. 

ADVANCED RIDING MODES AND CONNECTIVITY. The Avinox motor system supports multiple ride modes: Auto, Eco, Trail, and Turbo. The Auto mode utilizes a network of sensors to optimize assistance based on real-time riding conditions, ensuring efficient power usage and extended range.

Riders can customize their riding experience through the Avinox app, which also provides bicycle security, data recording, and sharing capabilities via Bluetooth.

EFFICIENT CHARGING. A significant advantage of the DJI Avinox system is its GaN fast charger, which can charge the 800 Wh battery from 0 to 75% in just 1.5 hours, reducing downtime and maximizing riding opportunities.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND VERSATILE EMTB. The Amflow PL, equipped with the Avinox motor, is designed to be a formidable competitor in the eMTB market. Weighing in at just 19.2 kg, thanks to its lightweight carbon frame, the Amflow PL approaches the weight of traditional mountain bikes. This combination promises an eMTB that is both powerful for climbing and efficient for long rides.

HIGH-QUALITY MOUNTAIN BIKE COMPONENTS. In addition to its impressive motor system, the Amflow PL is fitted with top-tier mountain bike components, including a Fox Float X Factory rear air shock and a Fox Factory 36 front air fork. It accommodates both 27.5" and 29" wheels, allowing riders to choose between agility and stability.

MARKET AVAILABILITY. While pricing details for the Amflow PL have not yet been released, interested buyers can sign up for updates on the Amflow Bikes website. The new eMTB is expected to be available for order starting around September 2024.

The DJI Avinox motor, with its advanced specifications and integrated system, is set to make a significant impact in the eMTB market. Paired with the well-equipped Amflow PL, this combination promises a powerful, efficient, and versatile riding experience. As DJI ventures into the e-bike sector, the industry can expect further innovations and enhancements in e-bike technology.
