Now, as the President of Xbox reporting directly to Phil Spencer, Microsoft Gaming CEO, Bond has set her sights on ensuring that the legacy of Xbox gaming transcends hardware generations. Recognizing the significance of backward compatibility, Bond has established a specialized team dedicated to the task of future-proofing Xbox game libraries. 

In recent communications, Bond reaffirmed Xbox's commitment to delivering groundbreaking advancements in next-gen hardware while simultaneously preserving the rich tapestry of gaming history.

Emphasizing the importance of backward compatibility, Bond articulated:

"We are building on our strong history of delivering backward compatibility to our players, and we remain committed to bringing forward the amazing library of Xbox games for future generations of players to enjoy."

The strategic acquisition of Activision Blizzard has further bolstered Xbox's position in the gaming landscape. With titles like Diablo 4 integrated into Xbox Game Pass, Xbox has solidified its status as the premier platform for gaming experiences. Leveraging this acquisition, the Xbox team is diligently working on Battle.net integration while also preparing for the launch of highly anticipated titles such as Hellblade II, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
