The revamped experience brings a unified feed, improved forecasts, and under-the-hood enhancements to a broader range of Android devices
It seems like Google Weather's redesigned experience, initially exclusive to Pixel phones, is gradually making its way to Samsung and other Android devices. The revamped layout features a single feed with current conditions, hourly and 10-day forecasts, and additional details like wind, humidity, UV index, pressure, and sunrise/sunset. The under-the-hood improvements include "Google Nowcast" powered by MetNet-3 for rain, hail, and snow predictions in specific regions.
Unfortunately, the Material You weather widgets remain exclusive to Pixel, but users on other devices can access the redesigned weather experience through a homescreen shortcut. Additionally, Google is introducing a "Weather" shortcut in the app launcher, still powered by the Google app.
There's also curiosity about whether Google plans to extend weather integration in its Clock app to non-Pixel devices, which currently relies on a separate "Weather" app/background service.
