Supergiant Games announced its inaugural sequel project, Hades II, in late 2022. After unveiling their next ambitious venture, the studio's original 2023 launch plans experienced a slight delay, attributed to the desire for additional content refinement during the Early Access phase. However, the studio made a promise to the gaming community, indicating plans for a public technical test to fine-tune the game and address potential issues.

Supergiant Games officially launches the Hades II Technical Test, extending an invitation to eager players to participate actively in the game's development process. Interested individuals can navigate to the game's Steam store page, where they'll find the Request Access button awaiting their click. Should the developers select them, players will receive an email from Steam containing download instructions, facilitating their entry into the testing phase.

It's essential to note that while the Technical Test grants a glimpse into the game's mechanics, the full breadth of gameplay content will be reserved for the impending Early Access launch. Additionally, not all applicants will secure participation due to the limited availability of slots. Explaining their rationale, the studio emphasized the importance of this preliminary phase, stating:

"We're conducting the Hades II Technical Test prior to our Early Access launch to help us find and solve any technical issues we might have missed thus far, to ensure anyone who tries Hades II in Early Access can have a smooth play experience from the start."

Equipped with built-in reporting tools, players are empowered to flag any encountered bugs or crashes directly to the developer, fostering a collaborative effort towards enhancing the game's stability and performance.

The minimum system requirements for the Technical Test are as follows:

• OS: Windows 10 64-bit
• Processor: Dual Core 2.4 Ghz
• Memory: 4GB RAM
• Graphics: 2GB VRAM / DirectX 12+ support

While initial access will be limited, Supergiant Games assures a gradual expansion of the testing pool as the game stabilizes with the initial cohort of players. Consequently, prospective participants may receive Technical Test invitations at varying intervals, aligning with the studio's commitment to minimizing major bugs ahead of the Early Access rollout.

Despite the absence of a definitive release date for Hades II Early Access across platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store, Supergiant Games affirms a flexible launch schedule, contingent upon the Technical Test's duration and the resultant stability of the gameplay experience.
