Bringing Classic Gaming Vibes with Modern Features
Hyperkin, a renowned accessories manufacturer, has announced the resurrection of the iconic Microsoft Original Xbox Controller S. This modernized version, named The DuchesS, not only recreates the classic gaming experience but also introduces several enhanced features for contemporary gamers.
HYPERKIN THE XENON
Originally launched exclusively in Japan over two decades ago, the Controller S garnered praise for its compact design and improved ergonomics compared to the bulkier Duke controller. Hyperkin's revival faithfully replicates the Controller S's iconic appearance, with strategic additions to ensure compatibility with modern gaming platforms.
The DuchesS boasts a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a convenient built-in share button, catering to the demands of today's gaming landscape. This wired-only controller is set to work seamlessly with Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Hyperkin has not only embraced the nostalgia but also integrated advanced technology into the DuchesS. The inclusion of Hall Effect joysticks and triggers promises enhanced precision and responsiveness, elevating the overall gaming experience.
HYPERKIN THE DUKE
This isn't Hyperkin's first foray into reviving retro Xbox controllers. Following the success of The Duke and The Xenon (a recreation of the Xbox 360 controller) last year, the DuchesS marks the third installment in their series of classic designs. The Duke, released in 2018, was well-received for its circular OLED display, emanating an animated Xbox logo. Despite its somewhat subtle visibility, the display showcased the original boot animation from the inaugural Xbox release in 2001.
Available in both black and white color options, the Hyperkin DuchesS adds a stylish touch to the gaming setup. While details about the price and availability remain undisclosed, it is clear that this controller is not just a functional accessory; it is a limited edition item destined to become a cherished collectible for avid gamers and enthusiasts alike.
