The three filters, labeled as "All", "Unread", and "Groups", provide users with distinct options to navigate through their messages efficiently. Selecting the "All" tab presents users with the default view, showcasing all messages within their WhatsApp account.

Meanwhile, opting for the "Unread" filter filters out only those conversations that users have yet to open, allowing them to prioritize responses and engagements effectively. Lastly, the "Groups" filter offers a streamlined view specifically tailored to group chats, enabling users to focus solely on their group conversations.

Meta emphasizes that these filters are designed to aid users in staying organized and swiftly accessing their most crucial conversations. By providing these filtering options, Meta aims to empower users to navigate through their messages more efficiently, ultimately enhancing their overall WhatsApp experience.

In its official announcement, Meta stated:

"We believe filters will make it easier for people to stay organized and find their most important conversations and help navigate through messages more efficiently. We’ll continue to build options to help you focus on what matters most."

The rollout of this update has already commenced, with Meta assuring users that it will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. Users need not take any additional steps to enable this feature; they can simply look out for the new tabs at the top of their WhatsApp interface and begin utilizing them immediately.
