As we already reported,OnePlus is gearing up to launch its latest flagship, the OnePlus 12, featuring a cutting-edge display in collaboration with BOE, positioning it as the new benchmark in the smartphone industry. Marketed as an Android smartphone with unparalleled standards, the device claims to prioritize eye health while delivering an impressive level of brightness, accompanied by a groundbreaking usability feature introduced in the Ace 2 Pro.

The smartphone has not only garnered attention for its touted ultra-high brightness but has also secured additional certifications as it prepares for a global launch. OnePlus, in anticipation of its "10th-year" flagship, previously claimed to have broken multiple DisplayMate records, with a focus on user experience. However, specific details regarding the records or the exact aspects in which they were achieved remained unspecified.

President of OnePlus' China division, Li Jie Louis, emphasized the 12's display excellence, particularly in the realm of eye protection. In a deep dive on Weibo, Louis highlighted the device's potential to become an "industry benchmark" in terms of user comfort and experience, setting the stage for a promising release.

Diverging from its historical partnership with Samsung, OnePlus opted for BOE as the source for the 12's "X1" display. Despite the change, both companies assert that two years of meticulous development have resulted in a 2K panel that excels in brightness and fluidity.

Adding to the anticipation, Louis hinted at the incorporation of the innovative Rain Touch technology, previously exclusive to the Ace 2 Pro. The absence of a specific launch date for the OnePlus 12 adds to the intrigue, but progress indicators, such as the recent NBTC approval under its global model number, suggest that the launch is imminent.

As the OnePlus 12 prepares to hit the market, the spotlight is firmly on its display technology.
