As the anticipation builds for the OnePlus 12, set to launch in China tomorrow, December 5, the company has strategically disclosed additional specifications just a day before the big reveal. In a series of updates on Weibo, OnePlus shared key details, creating a buzz among tech enthusiasts.One standout feature highlighted by the company is the OnePlus 12's IP65 rating. However, this doesn't signal full water immersion resistance; rather, it indicates the phone's capability to withstand jets of water while being dust-proof. Users can confidently use the device in heavy rain or even during a shower, but accidental submersion in water bodies is cautioned against.

As reported yesterday, OnePlus China president Li Jie contributed to the excitement by sharing real-world images of the OnePlus 12 in green and white variants. Battery and charging specifications were also unveiled in this pre-launch information blitz. The OnePlus 12 is equipped with a 5,400mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging. Wireless charging capabilities are emphasized, boasting impressive 50W speeds when used with a compatible charging pad. The brand promises a full wired charge in just 26 minutes and a full wireless charge in 55 minutes. OnePlus claims the battery will maintain a minimum of 80% capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.

Haptic feedback enthusiasts have something to look forward to, with OnePlus asserting that the OnePlus 12 features an improved vibration motor surpassing the one found in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company boldly claims it to be the most powerful vibration motor in a smartphone, catering to users who value tactile feedback.

Among other features, OnePlus emphasizes Bluetooth 5.4 support, USB 3.2 Gen 1 for faster USB-C speeds, and multi-directional NFC, showcasing a comprehensive set of functionalities.

While the excitement builds, the pricing of the OnePlus 12 remains the big unknown.
