The Chinese Giant Sides With Nature and Pay Homage to Michael Jackson
The new teaser video for OnePlus 12, as can easily be understood from the title (“Inspired by Nature”) is entirely focused on nature, offering wonderful images of mountains, lakes and rivers. A group of people move in these wonderful scenarios and, intent on taking photographs (the reference here is certainly to the excellent camera features of the smartphone), finally reveal to us the appearance of the OnePlus 12. The environmentalist reference is so strong that it indirectly cites Michael Jackson (the King of Pop has in fact always shown himself sensitive to environmental issues), with a tribute that perhaps not everyone will understand. In some frames, in fact, one of the female protagonists (not surprisingly with black hair and a profile reminiscent of the King of Pop) screams at nature with Michael Jackson's typical scream in the song "The Earth Song" (characterized by the environmentalist lyrics).

OnePlus teases vibrant OnePlus 12 color options and a revamped Alert Slider ahead of its December 5th debut in China. The flagship smartphone will be available in classic white, sleek black, and a refreshing green. Notably, the Alert Slider, cherished for its quick sound profile toggling, finds a new home on the left side, diverging from its previous right-hand placement on the OnePlus 11.
The move was prompted by OnePlus' commitment to enhance signal performance and reduce latency for gaming. In a press release, OnePlus stated that internal testing identified the optimal location for gaming antennas between the forefingers during landscape use. As a result, the Alert Slider shifted sides to accommodate this improvement, reinforcing the brand's dedication to a seamless user experience.
On the specifications OnePlus 12 will feature a Sony LYT-808 sensor for the 50-megapixel main camera and a 64-megapixel, 3X periscopic telephoto camera, both backed by Hasselblad Camera for Mobile. Powering the device the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, confirming leaks from July. The smartphone boasts a "2K display" panel from BOE, alongside support for wireless charging, rain touch, and infrared remote control functions.
While details remain scant, the global launch date for the OnePlus 12 is set for December 15th, offering a ray of hope for eager customers beyond China.
