With the highly anticipated launch of the OnePlus 12 just around the corner, OnePlus fans are in for a treat as the company takes the customary route of teasing key specifications ahead of the official debut. In a recent update on Weibo, OnePlus' very own Li JieLouis not only disclosed the Chinese release date set for December 5 but also spilled the beans on some major features of the forthcoming flagship.

Leading the charge is the expected inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a detail that aligns with OnePlus' commitment to top-tier processors. Alongside this powerhouse, JieLouis highlights the presence of the intriguing "2K Oriental Screen", likely the display showcased by OnePlus in October. Notably, the screen is anticipated to integrate the innovative "rain touch" technology, enhancing touchscreen functionality in wet conditions – a feature teased by OnePlus in recent demonstrations.

Adding to the excitement, JieLouis draws attention to the inclusion of an IR blaster, a feature seen during a prior showcase, further enriching the device's functionality. The camera setup, a focal point for many OnePlus enthusiasts, is set to boast the Sony Lytia LYT-808 sensor. Given the quality demonstrated by a similar sensor in the OnePlus Open, expectations are running high for stellar photography experiences.

However, the showstopper announcement comes in the form of wireless charging returning to the OnePlus flagship lineup. After a hiatus in the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus Open, the wireless charging feature is making a comeback in the OnePlus 12. While details on any potential improvements in wireless charging specifications remain undisclosed, fans are simply thrilled to witness its revival.

In the past, OnePlus devices offered 50W wireless charging, leaving room for speculation about potential advancements in this department. With certification processes underway, there's even speculation that OnePlus could emerge as one of the early adopters of Qi2 technology.

The OnePlus 12 is scheduled to make its debut in China on December 5, with a global release slated for January, according to reports.
