Palworld, developed by the Japanese studio Pocket Pair, has swiftly claimed the title of the first hit of 2024. Within just eight hours of its launch, the game achieved an impressive milestone, selling one million copies. Now, a mere 24 hours later, Palworld has crossed the 2 million copies sold mark, solidifying its place as a gaming phenomenon.

Update: January, 22nd - Palworld has achieved a sales milestone of 4 million units and proudly holds the title for the fifth-highest concurrent players on Steam ever recorded.

The announcement of this remarkable achievement came through Palworld's official social media channels, creating a buzz within the gaming community. However, the rapid success was not without its challenges, as players encountered connection issues during the initial hours of gameplay.

Addressing the surge in demand, Pocket Pair found themselves in an emergency meeting with the Epic Games team, resulting in a prompt update to the Epic Games backend. This quick response effectively resolved the connection issues, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the captivating world of Palworld.

On Steam, Palworld is currently second only to Counter-Strike 2 in terms of concurrent players, with the count nearing an impressive 900,000. The game's availability on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, coupled with its inclusion in Microsoft's Xbox and PC Game Pass subscription services, has contributed to its widespread success across platforms.

Despite being in early access, Palworld has received acclaim for its stability and creative gameplay options. Described as a multiplayer survival sandbox, the game invites players to "fight, farm, build, and work alongside mysterious creatures called Pals".
