PocketBook has unveiled its latest offering, the PocketBook InkPad Eo. Combining a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 panel with front illumination, an eight-core processor, and Android compatibility, this device promises to revolutionize the e-reading experience.

At the heart of the PocketBook InkPad Eo lies its impressive 10.3-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 panel, boasting a resolution of 2480 x 1860 pixels and a pixel density of 300 PPI in grayscale mode. While displaying colors, the resolution decreases to 1240 x 930 pixels, offering 150 PPI. Nevertheless, this mode still provides a vibrant palette of up to 4096 colors, ensuring captivating visuals for multimedia content.

One of the standout features of the device is its front illumination system, dubbed 'SMARTlight', which enables users to adjust the screen's warmth or coolness for comfortable reading in various lighting conditions. Whether under the glare of the sun or in the dimness of night, the display remains perfectly legible while consuming minimal power, thanks to the efficiency of E Ink technology.

Enhancing its functionality further, the PocketBook InkPad Eo includes a stylus optimized for handwritten note-taking, offering a seamless writing experience. Running on Android 11, the device supports third-party applications, expanding its utility beyond traditional e-reading.

However, it's worth noting that the manufacturer primarily promotes e-reader apps due to the device's specifications, featuring an unspecified eight-core processor paired with 4 GB of RAM.

Storage-wise, the PocketBook InkPad Eo offers 64 GB of flash memory, with the option to expand via a microSD card, ensuring ample space for an extensive library. Additionally, the device features integrated stereo speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, a rear camera, Wi-Fi capability, and USB-C charging for added convenience.

Despite its impressive array of features, the PocketBook InkPad Eo comes with a relatively high price tag. Priced at €569 for pre-order on the manufacturer's German website, the device may be out of reach for some consumers. However, for those seeking a premium e-reading experience with advanced functionalities, the investment may prove worthwhile.

As of now, the PocketBook InkPad Eo is available for pre-order, with deliveries expected to commence towards the end of April.
