Samsung has formally disclosed the expanded availability of its highly anticipated One UI 6.1 update, originally launched last month alongside the Galaxy S24 series. This update, poised to enhance user experience and functionality, particularly focuses on Samsung's flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra. Alongside this announcement, Samsung has outlined the eligible devices for the update, although the exact rollout timeline remains to be specified.

As anticipated, Samsung has decided to limit the distribution of One UI 6.1 to its recent flagship models. The list of eligible devices includes:

• Galaxy S23 FE
• Galaxy S23
• Galaxy S23 Plus
• Galaxy S23 Ultra
• Galaxy Tab S9
• Galaxy Tab S9 Plus
• Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
• Galaxy Z Fold5
• Galaxy Z Flip5

While Samsung initially hinted at the devices eligible for the One UI 6.1 update in prior communications with Android Authority, the company has now shed light on the commencement of the rollout.

The interim update is slated to start reaching the aforementioned devices by the end of March. However, the exact timing may vary across different markets. Contrary to earlier speculation suggesting an earlier release, Samsung's confirmation puts to rest any lingering uncertainty regarding the rollout timeline.

In terms of features, Samsung has assured users that most core Galaxy AI functionalities will be integrated into the One UI 6.1 update for eligible devices. Notable additions include Chat Assist, Circle to Search, Generative Edit, Live Translate, and Interpreter.

Additionally, Samsung's suite of AI-powered services, such as Browsing, Note, and Transcript Assist, will be included. However, it's worth noting that the Galaxy S23 FE will not receive Instant Slow-Mo, unlike its counterparts. 

Looking ahead, Samsung is expected to provide a comprehensive release schedule for One UI 6.1, although such schedules often vary based on region. This transparency is crucial for users eagerly anticipating the update, allowing them to stay informed about when they can expect to experience the latest features and improvements on their devices.
