Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 has become the subject of multiple leaks, providing a glimpse into what could be a significant design evolution for the popular foldable series. The latest leaks, shared by well-known tipster IceUniverse on X, suggest that Samsung might be changing its approach to the outer display and overall design.

The most notable revelation from these leaks is the wider outer display. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 (depicted above) had a relatively narrow and tall outer display with a 23:9 aspect ratio, which some users found awkward for everyday tasks and app operation. According to the leaked screen protectors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6's outer display might be approximately 60.2mm wide, compared to 57.4mm on its predecessor. This shift could make the outer display more user-friendly, accommodating more content and providing a better overall experience for multitasking and quick interactions.

Another significant design change highlighted by the leaks is the move toward a more angular shape, reminiscent of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The screen protectors for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 display sharper corners, suggesting a departure from the rounded and softer corners found on the Galaxy Z Fold 5. This new design language could lend a more premium and sophisticated look to the device.

While these design changes are exciting, the leaks have not provided much information on the internal hardware, such as camera specifications or battery size. The Galaxy Z Fold series has faced criticism in the past for not offering a camera system that matches its premium price tag. Despite this, rumors indicate that Samsung might address this issue with an 'Ultra' model for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 series, which could feature a better camera system. However, there is less hope for significant camera improvements in the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 or the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE.
