Samsung has initiated the rollout of a new software update for its esteemed Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 family of smartwatches. This latest update not only fortifies the security of these devices with the inclusion of the March security patch but also introduces several enhancements aimed at improving functionality and connectivity.

The cornerstone of this update lies in its commitment to refining Samsung Health, a pivotal feature for health and fitness enthusiasts.

The changelog accompanying the update underscores significant improvements in the accuracy of Samsung Health, addressing previously reported issues and ensuring users can rely on precise health monitoring and analysis.

Beyond refining existing features, Samsung has expanded the capabilities of its wearable ecosystem by introducing innovative connectivity features. One notable addition is the ability to seamlessly display select fitness data from Galaxy Watches onto various Samsung Smart TVs, monitors, projectors, and other lifestyle products. This integration not only enhances the accessibility of fitness information but also fosters a more interconnected digital lifestyle for users.

Earlier this month, a similar functionality was introduced for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, underlining Samsung's commitment to consistently enhancing its product offerings across its portfolio.

The update will reach the following Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 series models: 

• Galaxy Watch 4, 40mm
• Galaxy Watch 4, 44mm
• Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, 42mm
• Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, 46mm
• Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm
• Galaxy Watch 5, 44mm
• Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

Ensuring accessibility, users can conveniently check for and install the update directly on their Galaxy Watches through the watch's settings menu. Alternatively, for a seamless update experience, users can initiate the update process through the Galaxy Wearable app on their connected smartphones, further streamlining the update procedure.
