Samsung has once again joined forces with the renowned French luxury fashion house, Maison Margiela, to introduce an exclusive edition of its popular Galaxy Z Flip 5. Following the success of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 collaboration, the newly unveiled Maison Margiela Edition brings a touch of high-end fashion to the world of foldable smartphones.

Launched in July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has already made waves with its custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoCs and an impressive IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance. Building on this success, Samsung introduced an additional color option and a Retro Edition paying homage to the Samsung E700. Now, the collaboration with Maison Margiela takes the innovation a step further with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Maison Margiela Edition.

This limited-edition device is set to be available for purchase in selected regions only, offering a 512GB storage variant at $1915 through a lottery system on the official Samsung site. Interested users can participate in the lottery from 9 am to 5 pm local time on November 30, with winners announced on December 1 at 9 am local time. The Maison Margiela Edition is currently on display in Samsung Gangnam and Samsung Hongdae stores in South Korea from November 23, with a limited number also available to buyers in China, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

Inspired by Maison Margiela's deconstructive yet refined design style, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Maison Margiela Edition comes packaged in a large box reminiscent of archival storage containers found in atelier stores. The box, wrapped in woven book cloth fabric, features Maison Margiela's signature jacket on the back. Alongside the device, buyers will receive two cases:  a Flap Leather Case and a Flipsuit Case.

Adding an artistic touch, the Maison Margiela Edition includes two exclusive wallpapers – Stitches and Trompe-L'oeil. The Stitches wallpaper showcases handwoven stitches on both the cover and inner screens, while the Trompe-L'oeil wallpaper depicts the inner workings of a garment. The three-tiered packaging box also includes a 25W charger and a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable.
