Superbooth 2024, the renowned event celebrating the latest innovations in synthesizers, promises a plethora of exciting releases. Among them, Body Synths, a new player in the synthesizer realm, will debut its eagerly anticipated creation: the Metal Fetishist. Despite its name evoking images of heavy metal bands or guitar tech, this instrument ventures into a realm of digital percussive synthesis, offering a unique blend of character and randomness.

The Metal Fetishist is a digital percussive synthesizer featuring a compact patch matrix, providing users with hands-on control over its diverse sonic palette. Its engine comprises a dual-wave oscillator with pitch modulation, a white noise source, and a resonant multimode filter, offering a rich canvas for sound sculpting. 

What sets the Metal Fetishist apart is its incorporation of digital distortion capabilities, adding spice and crunch to its sonic output. However, unlike typical digital instruments prone to menu diving, the Metal Fetishist maintains an analog-style interface, allowing users to manipulate parameters directly via dedicated knobs. 

One of the instrument's most intriguing features is its built-in sequencer, which eschews tradition in favor of experimentation. Utilizing two randomness generators, the sequencer generates CV and triggers, influencing parameters such as pitch, noise, and filter cutoff at each step. Users can adjust modulation intensity and control step triggering, offering endless possibilities for dynamic rhythmic exploration.

Moreover, the Metal Fetishist offers versatility through its Eurorack-compatible patch bay, facilitating integration into modular setups. With various outputs and CV inputs, users can further expand their sonic horizons, seamlessly integrating the Metal Fetishist into their existing setups.

According to Body Synths, the Metal Fetishist empowers users to create a wide array of sounds, from simple kicks to fuzzy drones and digital glitches. Demonstrations showcase its bold and assertive sonic character.
