Leaked Documents Suggests that a New Smart Band Could be Under Development
Nearly eleven months have passed since Xiaomi introduced the Smart Band 8 alongside its flagship Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Pad 6 series tablets. Despite its initial unveiling, the Smart Band 8 took until the end of September to debut globally, coinciding with the launch event for the Xiaomi 13T series. As rumors swirl, it seems Xiaomi is poised to continue its legacy with the introduction of the Smart Band 9. Speculation suggests that like its predecessor, this latest fitness tracker may first be unveiled in China. Reports from various outlets indicate Xiaomi's intention to succeed the Smart Band 8 with the next iteration, but details remain sparse.
While the name "Smart Band 9" has yet to be officially confirmed, recent State Radio Regulation of China (SRRC) certifications have shed light on two unreleased model numbers: M2345B1 and M2346B1. These certifications, a prerequisite for device release in China, hint at the imminent arrival of Xiaomi's new offering.
Drawing from past patterns, it's plausible that the model numbers M2345B1 and M2346B1 correspond to variations of the same device, possibly differentiated by features.
However, beyond these insights, the specifics of Xiaomi's next-gen fitness tracker remain shrouded in mystery. How will Xiaomi differentiate the Smart Band 9 from its predecessor? What new features and enhancements can consumers anticipate? These questions linger, fueling excitement and speculation within the tech community.
