Forza Horizon 5, the acclaimed open-world racing game developed by Playground Games, has once again raised the stakes with its latest free content update titled "Horizon Race-Off". This update introduces a thrilling new mode that incentivizes players to band together and compete in high-octane races, offering the chance to unlock two exclusive vehicles, alongside a plethora of exciting additions and fixes.

The focal point of the Horizon Race-Off update is the introduction of Asphalt Racing and Off-Roading challenges, where players can engage in adrenaline-fueled competitions across diverse terrains.

Every race completed contributes to two progress bars, leading to the ultimate reward: exclusive access to the 2024 Ford Mustang GT and the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R. This collaborative approach echoes the community-driven spirit of Forza Horizon 5, where players unite to achieve common goals.

To further entice drivers, Forza Horizon 5 will generously gift two character outfits to all players on March 28, adding a touch of personalization to their racing experience. Additionally, a new Horizon Race-Off Outpost will dynamically appear on the map, shifting its location weekly throughout the four series weeks.

Completion of series events within designated weeks will also grant players access to four more exclusive cars:

  • 2023 McLaren Artura: Week of March 28
  • 2020 Audi TT RS Coupe: Week of April 4
  • 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra: Week of April 11
  • 2020 Jaguar F-TYPE SVR: Week of April 18

Event Lab enthusiasts will find their creative toolkit expanded with the inclusion of 18 new props, ranging from signs and flags to pinatas and displays. This empowers creators to craft even more immersive and dynamic racing experiences for the community to enjoy.

For those seeking an extra edge on the track, a new "Acceleration Car Pack" is available for purchase, featuring four limited-built vehicles designed to excel in acceleration:

  • 2022 Ford Supervan 4
  • 2021 McLaren Sabre
  • 2019 Ginetta G10 RM
  • 1967 Shelby GT 500

The car pack is accessible for purchase on Xbox and Steam platforms, catering to players across various gaming ecosystems.

Furthermore, the Horizon Race-Off update addresses two EventLab-related issues, ensuring a smoother experience for creators:

  • Fixed an issue with EventLab where the "Disable Standard Scoring" rule was not functioning correctly.
  • Fixed an issue with EventLab where player-created events defaulted to a 5-minute duration when launched from the shared events menu.

Looking ahead, the anticipation builds for the next update, "Apex All-Stars", promising a fresh array of EventLab props, collectibles, exclusive cars, and more. As with previous updates, Apex All-Stars will be available to all players free of charge, further enriching the Forza Horizon 5 experience for its dedicated community.
